Substitute as Regional Information Officer

Regional Information

The Regional Executive Administration is responsible for the part of customer service that manages the telephone function and reception at Visborg.

We inform and guide citizens regarding Region Gotland's service offerings and support the region's operations.

We work in Hemse and Visby, where we also staff the reception. You will have a work schedule with two different shifts, which means you may need to be able to drive.

During the summer, we need a substitute who can work for at least 7 weeks with Visby as the main workplace.

Your Responsibilities

As a Regional Information Officer, your task is to provide good service via phone to citizens seeking information about Region Gotland's services or wanting to reach operations within Region Gotland. You will have support in your work from search systems related to general questions handled by the region's operations. We primarily use digital IT tools in our daily work.

The role also includes reception work where the same good service is provided in personal meetings.

You are expected to be able to answer questions of very varying nature after the introduction. In addition to advice and support for citizens and employees, there may be some administrative tasks involved.

Who Are You?

We see that you have a high school education, preferably with a focus on languages, communication, or IT. A driving license (B) is required for the position.

You have a good ability to communicate in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing, and are experienced in using digital IT tools. We also see that you have experience working in a customer-oriented service environment. It is an advantage if you have language skills beyond Swedish and English.

We are looking for someone with good service skills, who is proactive, structured, and engaged. You also need to have good communication and collaboration skills since you will be part of a team. Being self-driven is a prerequisite for the position.

As a Regional Information Officer, you are often the first contact with the region, and it is therefore particularly important that you focus on the customer and take the initiative for good customer interaction.

About the Regional Executive Administration

As part of Region Gotland, the Regional Executive Administration is responsible for corporate governance, strategic planning, and case preparation. We also work with regional development and cultural and leisure activities. We serve as internal support to the region's other administrations. Together, we care about quality and efficiency for those we serve. Through our responsibility for emergency services in Gotland, we are also an important part of citizens' safety and security.
